What's new at Rome International Church

Dear RIC friends

This Sunday we continue our advent series called "Christmas Through the Eyes of..."  Last Sunday we tried to imagine how Joseph must have felt and this coming Sunday we will consider Mary!  Each Sunday we are featuring special music for the season by our youth group!  Don't miss it!

CHRISTMAS EVE: As we near Christmas I wanted to make you aware of two special opportunities.

Collection for Refugee Center THIS SUNDAY!

Dear RIC friends

If you were with us Sunday you heard a short presentation about the wonderful work that happens at the Joel Nafuma Refugee Center, located on via Nazionale in the center of Rome. As part of our support we send volunteers there and contribute financially. This Christmas they have a special drive to collect items that they can use as a Christmas gift bag for the refugees.

THIS COMING SUNDAY DEC. 6, I would ask that you bring a bag filled with some of the following items. They will then take our items and create the gift bags.

Christmas boxes: wrap the lids separately!

Dear RIC friends

Sorry to be sending you yet another newsletter this week!  Lots going on. I need to remind you to bring your wrapped shoe box for a homeless man tomorrow to church BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE BOX CAN BE OPENED, SO WRAP YOUR LID SEPARATELY.  This is because Mary needs to have a look at the contents. Hope we have a mountain of them to give to her tomorrow!

RIC needs your donations this Sunday for the homeless

Dear RIC friends
I hope this finds you well. As we mentioned last Sunday we will have two different collections to help those in need this year. First is PROJECT ROME. Our guest speaker last Sunday, Mary Stuart-Miller, explained her ministry. It was very moving!

We will collect the decorated shoe boxes filled with items on Sunday Nov. 22 at the service. WE WANT TO FLOOD MARY WITH THESE GIFT BOXES SO PLEASE PARTICIPATE!

Hope you were with us on Sunday! We continued our series of sermons called "Just One Question for God." with "Is Jesus the Only Way to Heaven?" IF you had a question you could ask God or something difficult you don't understand, what would it be? Send me your thoughts or questions and perhaps we can make it the theme of an upcoming sermon. Hope you'll join us!

Send me your thoughts or questions and perhaps we can make it the theme of an upcoming sermon. Last Sunday we talked about "Why did Jesus Have to Die?" and this coming Sunday's theme will be "Is Jesus the Only Way to Heaven?" Hope you'll join us!

remember to set your clocks back one hour tonight as the time changes

Dear RIC friends
I hope to see you at church tomorrow. I wanted to remind you that the time changes here in Europe this weekend, so move your clocks back one hour when you go to bed. Otherwise, you'll arrive early and can enjoy some coffee with us while we set up for the service!

Blessings
